Iceland may not return to Eurovision in 2027

Following a board meeting this week, Icelandic broadcaster RÚV has announced that Iceland may not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027. If Iceland does withdraw from the 2027 Contest, it means Iceland will remain absent from the Contest for a second consecutive year, having also withdrawn from Eurovision 2026.
